“Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today.”
– Thomas Jefferson
The time truly is now
Thomas Jefferson was so right. Tomorrow is unpredictable, and it is wise to take care of what you can sooner rather than later. Whether you have aging parents who need your support for the next phase in their lives, are beginning to plan for your own golden years, or are young and vibrant and ready to conquer the world, the time is now to plan for life’s often unexpected and untimely events. Karen H. Johnson, P.C., is a small professional corporation in the Commonwealth of Virginia dedicated to providing assistance in planning for life’s surprises and in dealing with estates, trusts, and conservatorships and their administration. It is hoped that the information included and still to be added to this website, which comes from years of assisting fiduciaries pick up the pieces, will provide you with valuable guidance and advice as you make your plans. Truly, a little planning now may save a tremendous amount of heartache and expense for you or your loved ones down the road. Although Thomas Jefferson’s quote has guided me my entire life, I recently came across this Pablo Picasso quote that captures for me the urgency associated with current on-going estate planning for adults of all ages.
“Only put off until tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone.”
– Pablo Picasso
